HI,
In WinXP's Network Connections, there is an advanced settings option in the advanced menu, is there such a place in Vista? The reason I ask is I have computers with XP and NetBeui; I have File and print sharing, and Client for MS Networks checked for NetBeui, and unchecked for TCP/IP. I want to do the same in Vista. NetBeui works for a wired connecton in Vista, but I have yet to get it to work wirelessly. TIA Wayne |

You may override DHCP server settings, if you have a dynamic IP address.
In Run windows type in ncpa.cpl, right-click wireless conn - properties, check IPv4 - properties, then Advanced ..., in WINS tab check enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP. I really am curious how could you install only NetBeui without TCP/IP ... :? "~me~" wrote in message ... I have not installed NB without Tcp/IP. I only have file & print sharing
and Client for MS networks enabled for NB and not TCP/IP under advanced setting in Network connections in winXP (I cannot figure out how to do that in Vista) "Marius Farcas" wrote in message ...
