i've recently installed windows vista on my laptop, but windows aero doesn't
work because my graphics card can't support it. is there any way of
installing a new graphics card in my laptop?

Check the manufacturer's website, but ususally a different video adaptor
cannot be used.

That totally depends on your laptop model. Some do have an exchageable
video card, but many or most laptops use an integrated chip that cannot be
changed. You have to figure out what you have exactly and find a card that
matches your laptop exactly, laptops are not as flexible as desktops in that
regard, but upgrades are often possible.
