Alright guys, I've narrowed the problem down to the screensaver. Whether it
be 1 hour or 1 minute, after the screensaver turns on I lose connectivity. It simply will not resume when I try. The only option is to restart the laptop but it takes about 5 minutes because for whatever reason it hangs on the shutting down screen for several minutes. Anyone any suggestions as to what is going on? Cheers! |

It could be a software running that make the problem. Try clean boot. or The

Hi, as far as I can tell it's only happening when the screensaver appears.
Even if just for a split second I lose connectivity. I've done several clean boots (not because of this problem) and it happens every time. No other programs running... It's not a major problem, I have to turn the screen saver off but it'd be nice to know what's causing it. "Robert L. (MS-MVP)" wrote: It could be a software running that make the problem. Here I'm experiencing the same situation. The wifi link dies if the screensaver or maybe the login screen shows. Otherwise, the link is completely stable (12 hours and counting). I turned off DHCP but the problem presists. It's XP with all the updates and so. Any ideas?
