Default Windows Media creates New Folder

Whenever I play a song or video in Windows Media Player, a New Folder is
created on my desktop. This isn't a hugely critical problem, but it is a bit
annoying to have to keep deleting New Folders from my desktop every time I
use Media Player. Anyone know how to correct this?

What's your Rip To folder set to in the Media Player?
What Folders are you monitoring in WMP's Tools:Options:Library:Monitor
Folders?
