I've been reading posts here and there and one told "me" to go here to see my
TIF ... C:\Users\Jim\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Tempo rary Internet Files but, if I "back up", I can't go "forward" again If I got to say ... C:\Users\Jim ... there is NO AppData to pick from, at least that I can see ... if I add AppData there's a Microsoft, then Windows, but no Temp Int. Files ... all I have is 1033, Burn, Explorer, GameExplorer, WER and WindowsUpdate I have all the permissions and allow stuff set I can see ... is there a setting where I can see EVERYTHING? |

No, you cannot see everything. Files for which you do not have permission
likely exist within other user's area's for instance. However if your desire is to see c:\Users\Jim\AppData then it should be sufficient to select Tools Folder options View Files and folders/Hidden files and folders and set Show hidden files and folders Michael Vista Home premium "PinGame Journal" wrote in message ... Thanks for your response, Michael ...

You may have hidden the menu toolbar.
Organize Layout check the box for Menu Bar (note that just below that is the Folder and Search Options if you would rather get there that way) One of the major defects in previous MS systems was the inability of the system to protect itself and users from other users. That ability has been considerably increased. But as a consequence even an administrator cannot see/change all files in normal operations. It is possible to override the security and permissions settings, but if you do, do not expect the operating system to operate 'correctly' as envisioned by Microsoft.
