I have an Acer Aspire 3680 laptop currently running Vista. I have set up a
home network between this and my desktop which is running Xp Pro. I can access all the shared folders on the vista laptop when im using the XP desktop, but when I try and access the desktop from the laptop it comes up with message - cannot access the computer //ANNE, check the spelling or your network connection. And other times when viewing the network map it will not let me click on the XP computer at all. Any ideas on how to access the XP computer would be helpful and thankyou in advance. |

Matty, run XPs File and Printer Sharing wizard so it will let Vista access it!
Also, if you are running Norton firewall or something like it, make sure it is permitted in there. "Matty J" wrote: I have an Acer Aspire 3680 laptop currently running Vista.
