Hi there,
I am trying to do remote desktop between two Vista Ultimate computers. So far I haven't been able to make a connections after a couple of tries. After some investigation I found out that remote desktop was NOT checked in Windows Firewall. I do not have any firewall/antivirus software, only Spybot Search & Destroy. I set IIS on both machines on. There are quite a few options in there I tried to check as many as I felt could be remotely elated to the issue. It needs some additional study. Now I am coming to my question. I do have static IP addresses on both machines. I can ping, but could not connect. Is there a place in the Windows Firewall where I set the preferential IP address for it to consider secure? CA and ZoneAlarm and others all have this option if I recall perhaps on the prohibition side. Thanks. |
