Default Wireless Network Issue

I have a new Gateway laptop with Vista and a pc with XP. Purchased a new
wireless n router and a USB connecter for the pc. The pc has no issues
connecting with the USB connecter with strong signal 4 rooms away from the
router. The laptop is set to automatically connect to that network as long as
it is available. The issue I am having is that it does not see that network
of the vista tells me it does not and I have to do the repair the wireless
connection 3 times to get it to connect. Takes over 5 minutes of me trying to
connect before it does. Anyone else have this issue?

Default Wireless Network Issue

I have been having the same issue but it has been since we returned from
holidays and manually connected to a public network. Everytime we turn the
computer on we have to repair the wireless internet connection to access the
internet. I have tried multiple times to fix this but don't know how. If
anyone knows what to do please advise.
