I forwarded a bunch of hotmail using Windows Live Desktop, not paying much
attention and just dragging them into a new message. When I received the huge message I could not drag them out as expected. When ever I dropped them into the inbox I got a new message with the dragged items as attachments. Turns out that, for what ever reason, two of the messages had _eml as the extension. Since Windows Mail did not understand that as email, it refused to drop the whole set into the inbox creating a new message instead. I'm not sure what should have happened, BUT since this was completely unexpected and unwanted behavior, a message explaining what was going on would have been nice. When i left those two attachments out of the drag and drop, everything worked as expeced. When i dragged those two items to the desktop and corrected the extention. they draged into the Inbox just fine. Regards, Al Christoph |
