Hi all,
problably an easy question for most of you, When I start the explorer from the startmenu (right mouse button explorer) the explorer opens and unfolds thereby several folders. The list seems to get longer every time. Folding the folders and reopening explorer does not help. I have to scroll up every time to get to the main folders of 'my computer'. How can I change the default status of unfolded folders? Thx, Bas |

Create desktop shortcuts to the folders you want Explorer to open in.

Thx, Bas Hi Bas, This will show you how to change the Windows Explorer shortcut so it will open like Computer without opened folders in the folder tree. Use: "%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe C:\,/select" (no quotes) http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/71...t-opening.html Shawn -- brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* '*Vista Forums*' (http://www.vistax64.com/index.php?referrerid=2980) *Please post feedback to help others.* |

The issue is how you are starting explorer not explorer itself.
See when you right click on the start menu button it thinks you want to browse the Start Menu location not the Root of your Computer. This action can't be changed that I'm aware of. Some other comments here will show you how to get a shortcut to the location you want. "Kuitenbijters" wrote in message ...
