I have attached a home made application which does this, simply extract it
where you would like and run it.
It it also available from http://download.msblog.org/WinMailTray.zip if you
can not access the attachment.

The executable has been scanned with eTrust Antivirus before and after
packaging and is free from spyware or viruses.

Have a nice day! :-)

The home made application Kristian listed works nice but: as far as I can
tell Windows Mail does not check for new emails in the background wile being
minimized?
