Default Sound stops working

Sound works fine, then put comp to sleep overnight then no sound. The driver
says it's working fine, nothing is muted all volumes are set correctly. After
restart sound works fine again, any ideas?

Thanks, Rob.

Hello,
Had same problem, found that the default recording device was set as the
microphone. Changed to "stereo mix" and removed third party driver.
This was caused by, in this case "TotalRecorder". Could be any third party
program.
Using onboard sound, Realtek HighDefinition Audio - ATI FunctionDrivers
(1)ATI 791A (2) ATIAA01.

take care.

You could try upgrading the audio driver.
