I just finished loading Vista RC1 and am trying to import my old OE6
messages. When I navigate to the store folder, there are no files visible. I can see them all when I use Windows Explorer but the import facility doesn't see them. Is this a known bug? If so, is there a workaround? TIA Tom Lake |

No, it should work. Some are reporting the import is incomplete. Is
folders.dbx in the directory? Make sure also the files aren't read only. Copy them all to a blank directory on a hard drive and clear any read only attribute and then see if it works. steve "Tom Lake" wrote in message ... I tried copying the files to a new directory and still get the same error. Thanks for the quick reply, though! Tom Lake |

I guess results vary. I didn't have any trouble, but I only imported one
folder. Others are indicating partial imports succeed. I can see this is going to be a big issue. steve "Tom Lake" wrote in message ... "Steve Cochran" wrote in message news ![]() No, it should work. The success of the import relies on a non-corrupt version of folders.dbx.
Folders.dbx is the most often corrupted file in OE, so its no big surprise that the import fails in many instances, unfortunately. My DBXpress program still will work to extract the messages from the files and then they can be dragged into WinMail. steve "ghislain" wrote in message ... same thing for me in window mail import fonction didn't work and in oulook office2007)is the same thing i can't import ouloookexpress(windows mail) file an contact and while i try to select all file in window box i can't select all but i can in explorer mode it's curious bug no!? This is just an added note for suspicious people. I have no connection with Steve Cochran whatsoever other than being an extremely satisfied customer of his. I make no money off the sale of DBXpress.
