I use Yahoo web mail and cannot disable windows mail! It comes up whenever I
right click a web page, picture etc with the intention of sending it to someone via email. With no POP3 mail, Windows Mail cannot function. I want to disable it...How? -- Keith. |

You can try going to Control Panel | Default programs and set web mail as
default if it will let you, but since that's not really a mail client, then I don't see that "Send picture via email" will work at all with web mail. Such functions assume a POP3 client, so if you are going to bug it, then the bug should be that those functions are disabled if there is no POP3 / SMTP client. steve "Keith" wrote in message ... Steve, thanks for your answer, but I have been doing so for years!
In Beta 2 I had Windows Mail disabled and the right click method sent me straight to Yahho Mail. I now forgot how I did it...it was pure accident! No other mail service appears in the control panel! -- Keith. Well, it should still work then, although it obviously doesn't. Try looking
in IE (Tools | Options | Programs | Set Programs | Set Program Access and defaults) and under Custom uncheck the option to allow access to WinMail and see what that does. steve "Keith" wrote in message ... Did exactly as you said, then tried right clicking and "send to friend via
email" and WinMail opened saying "....not functioning properly" The only other option was to change to non-microsoft and that disabled IE etc along with WinMail ![]() -- Keith. Yes. Send feedback to MS. I don't know where you got your copy, but I
think most versions have a feedback button. steve "Keith" wrote in message ... Then I'll need to bug it???? -- Keith. I will try that...again...but unlike Beta 2, they appear to be using
feedback, but not responding! -- Keith. "Steve Cochran" wrote: Yes. Send feedback to MS.
