Windows Movie Maker
Is there a way to add captions under each photo in the movie you create? You
are prompted to add text for the movie title and you can add "captions" for segment headings, but I can find nothing about adding captions for individual photos. -- butterknife

Try Tools|Titles|Title on the selected clip (or photo).
