Anyone trying 8GB of memory on Vista 64?
Good. But that doesn't change the fact that some mobos have this issue.
"dpmeersman" wrote in message ... I'm running 8 gig of AData PC6400 memory on a EVGA MB with an Nvidia 680i chipset and have had no problems so far. Both bios and Vista x64 Home Premium recognize all 8 gig. I've only been running it for about a week and thus far there have been no issues. Some benchmarks that I run show about a 5% improvement but these benchmarks vary by that much depending on disk fragmentation and other factors. The memory was cheap and all indications were that my system would support it so I filled all the slots with 2 gig sticks. -- dpmeersman |
