With Windows Mail v6.0.5728.16387, if the preview pane is off and if you are
going through messages (on the right) in a folder that is not Inbox then press Ctrl + I there is then no way to focus either the folder pane or the messages pane. Also when the focus is on the message pane and the selected folder is Inbox, using backspace looses focus as well and there is no way to get it back unless the mouse is used. Basically try to not use the mouse (ie using tab/up/down/backspace/enter) to navigate the mail and will quickly lose the focus and get into a dead-end that requires the mouse One of the nice features of OE was that you never had to use the mouse for anything, I hope the final will have that fixed. |

As a workaround, you can use Alt-Tab to set the focus.

True, it works when you press alt-tab then alt-tab again, but you end up
doing that all the time which makes it barely useable in a keyboard-only situation. Hope that's fixed for the final version, mouse is a waste of time ![]() "Steve Cochran" wrote: As a workaround, you can use Alt-Tab to set the focus. steve "XavierB" wrote in message ...
