I found that I was able to use shortcut keys to fix my problem. I had over 180 deleted messages and I couldn't use the 'empty deleted folder' option. Instead I found that, if I press "ALT" then "E" then "Y", I was able to permanently delete my messages one by one. Time consuming, but it worked for me

We have a shared email account at work (an Exchange account), I use Windows Mail to look at the account and everyone else uses OWA. I can delete and move messages around and it all looks fine in Windows Mail, but when I open the account in OWA all the deleted mesages are still there and any messages I moved to other folders are still in the Inbox. I have now learned that outlook and vista don't like each other and I don't like having to reset the password every time I open the program. I used outlook for business and windows mail for personal. If I add the business email to windows mail as a second identity, is there an option I"m missing to have mail for one go to a specific folder and mail for the other to its specific folder?

The icon for a message header only and a message header with body are not obviously so very different. This may not matter if you read Online but does matter if you read Offline. Is there any way to change icons or otherwise make the difference more obvious? -- TIA.

All of the message headers in my newsgroups begin with "" and I don't get to see the original posts or threads. Can someone please tell me what I need to change in order to get the full threads? Thanks Frogman

I have 4 email accounts and the one I selected as default doesn't come up in the "from" box. I have to click the arrow to ensure "from" reads as I want it to. Why is this, and can I change it???

Why do I have to type out most of my contacts, when I had outlook I could just type the first letter and the whole address would appear. It does do that on some, but if I don't use the address for a couple of weeks it fortgets it. It also seems there should be a way to go to contacts and click on an address and have it appear when I send an e-mail. I have found Vista to be very difficult.

I have noticed that for some messages the option to add to junk mail list is grayed out. This seems to be (usually at least) on messages that are coming in with 'egghead' in the signature bottom line. Does egghead.com have some secret handshake that prevents adding its users to junk mail lists? Michael
