I can't open word, pdf or excel attachemnts all of a sudden. Chenged security settings, still does not work. Any ideas?

I am using Windoes Mail on Vista-x64. My mail account is with AOL and Windows Mail is configured to use it as an IMAP server. I set up a new email addy acct., but when I go to log in, it won't accept it. I know I have to correct user name and password, so why does it do this? This is a 2nd computer for us and it uses this Windows mail while the other is Outlook. I can also send from this acct. but not receive. Any suggestions? Thank you

On one particular filed mail folder ... all the filed mails have correct subject line, date, attachment symbol etc. However when I click on mail to open it ... it has wrong text in the body text ...
