I can not send email I guess I am just plain dumb but I try to send and i get a message saying the computor can not find pop3 would someone please help an old guy out with this ?

I use gmail and Windows Mail frontend. When I start Windows Mail and click Send/Receive all works ok and I either get new mail or none. If I click Send/Receive again I get "Some errors occurred . . . " but there is nothing in the box below. At least I can get my mail but have to kill & restart to get a second time. I'm stumped.

I have set up specific rules to prevent messages with certian words from loading to my computer from the srver but they are coming in anyway. I have tried all options as to where they should go. I cannot get the rules to automatically apply. Have to go in to Message Rules and hit Apply Now to make it work each time What am I not doing or doing wrong.

I can receive but can't send e-mails. I am on vacation out of the country and not sure why I can't send?

How do I located subfolders that are now mysteriously gone. I had 20 sub folders or more with email correspondence. does anyone know how to recover them or find them? they are not in the trash bid or recycle bin?

When I try and send mail using windows mail (vista) I get this message I contacted comcast changes all ports etc and no luck. Also when I used to use outlook express and when to file I could change the identity there. When I go into view- columns and change the columns that I want to see in my view, it only saves the changes for that session. IE when I go back into Mail later it has reset to the original columns! How do I keep the view changes that I want permanently??

All incoming e-mails are tagged as "Spam" in the subject line. Most of which do not automatically get sent to the "Junk Mail" folder. Have Win Vista and Windows Mail. Have messgae stuck in Inbox. Deleted InBox folder in User/AppData/Local/Microsoft/WindowsMail. Reopen Mail and message are still there. Look in InBox folder and all message are now gone, however. Where is Mail really getting it's messages from? Thanks.

"An error occurred while the spelling was being checked." After a short power failure (2 or 3 seconds) while Windows Mail as open and being used, this message now appears over each and every email I send.
