I'd like to connect to my home Vista machine from my work using remote desktop. However, I'm quite concerned security and being able to access all my personal files using just a password (even if it is a complex one). How can I lock down remote desktop so that it is as close to being 100% hack proof as humanly possible? Thank you

I am trying to play a media file using Vista. The file name is not going to the program correctly. There are square characters displayed in what appears to be random positions throughout in the file path. This does not always occur. Sometimes the file name goes through correct, other times it doesn't. Has anyone had any similar issues?

Using the built in zip utility in Vista, I am able to zip my files but not unzip them. UAC is off, IE protected mode is off, the file has been unblocked (Within the properties of file and no antivirus is enabled. What's going on here? I'm seeing several posts on this issue alone. Thx!

I have a Win2003 server domain with Winxp/Vista clients. I noticed that windows updates cannot be carried out by vista clients as it says insufficient permissions. If I log on locally to the vista client onto the admin account of the local machine then the updates go ahead. How can I get around this? I want domain pc's to auto download and update . Thanks

Hello, I need to create an MS-DOS Startup Disk in order to update my mobo BIOS. I right-clicked on the floppy drive and clicked 'Format' then checked 'Create MS-DOS Startup Disk' and then formatted it. A box popped up saying 'Format Complete', but when I tried to view the files on the disk I got an error saying the disk needs to be formatted. Any ideas?
