Greetings, I installed Windows7 as a dual boot on a Vista computer. Windows7 is the default operating system because it is listed first in the boot menu & launches automatically after 30 seconds. I realized that everything in Windows 7 is installing under D:\etc. When I remove Vista & revert to one larger partition what will happen to all the installed programs that have a path to D:\? I turned system restore off to clean out old files, now trying to turn system restore back on I keep getting an error message: "Could not create the scheduled task for the following reason: the task image is corrupt or has been tampered with. I've disabled this service in the services long ago when it repeatedly caused error to report.. To no effect even though it still shows itself to be disabled. I just now saw it in the task manager under processes. It doesn't show in my onecare startup listing. It doesn't show in my msconfig under startups or services. It shows as disabled in my services. But there must be something I missed....

Hello I wanted to try Win7 without losing Vista, so I installed it on a separate partition to dual boot. So I have Vista on C: and Win 7 on G: - same disk, different partitions. A boot menu was set up, but Win 7 boots by default if I don't choose Vista instead. I now want to move towards Win 7 on C:, and return to just one partition.

I had trend doing a new scan a more complete one while it was doing it i went in i could stop it hit cancel stop safe box and computer would return to normal I thought that was 6 hourds ago.. well after i deleted trend it still in a safe mode.
