sfc problem by
Tom Hall[_2_]
Vista Home Premium 64-bit
I have run sfc /scannow a number of times, and it always reports that there
were corrupted files, but that it was unable to fix everything and points
me to CBS.log for details. The problem with CBS.log is that it is HUGE, and
I'm not sure what I should be looking for.
I finally figured out how to delete CBS.log just prior to running sfc, and
have a CBS.log that...

Extend Volume by
Derek Da Silva
Hi Everyone,
I have a 80Gb HD. I created a C: volume of 20GB and the 50GB went to
another new volume (D: drive). I have 10GB of unallocated space.
I recently noticed I need more HD space on the C: drive. I went into the
Disk MGMT tools and when I attempted extend the C volume the Extend operation
was greyed out.
How do I extend my C: drive so that the remaining 10GB of unallocated space

changing network cards, tried another clean install, even installed Windows

Installing Office 2007 when PreInstalled 2010 exists by
PaulRS[_2_]
I have a VISTA laptop that came with Office 2010 pre-installed, but
not activated until I pay the price for it. I have Office 2007 on CD
and would like to install it.
(1) Can I install this earlier Office 2007 version and keep the 2010
on the HD to activate if I want to pay for it later?
(2) Do I have to uninstall the Office 2010 preinstall first?
(3) Give me my options, please
Thanks

Installing software (elements9) by

I have downloaded an OEM version of Photoshop Elements 9.
Since July 1st. I have been trying to install this on my pC (Vista Home Premium ) 32 bit.
The Seller, E2load.com have not been able to help me, and are refusing to refund me, saying that the OEM is not at fault.
I am not new to PC's and do download and install with out any problems, apart from this software.

Superfetch won't run by
Tom Hall[_2_]
Vista Home Premium 64-bit with 8 GB of ram.
Superfetch service will not start. Error 2: The system cannot find the file
specified.
In researching the problem, I found that the file in question was
c:\windows\system32\sysmain.dll. When I first checked, the file was not
there so I ran sfc and restored it. Even though the file is there, I still
get the error message.
