Cant open files from DVD - APP CRASH! by
addison86
Everytime I try to copy files from a DVD to my desktop (My Computer -
Right Click on DVD drive - Open), an error message will pop up (even
before the DVD is opened for me to view the files) that says:
Window Explorer has stopped working.
Then soon after, another window will pop up stating:
Window Explorer is restarting.

64-bit by
Gray[_2_]
I do support in a smallish/mid-sized business, and for the first time
ever we are considering trying out a 64-bit windows client for our 3d
cad operator. I've never had any experience with a 64 bit OS before,
but I need to try to test it out and make sure it is compatible with our
software and systems here. We have a 2000/2003 mixed-mode AD domain
with exchange 2007 and terminal servers. ...

Vista is forgetfull by
skyman2112
I cant get my classic start menu to stay in the order i drag and drop them
in. Isn't there a way to make it stay put. I have personalized menus
disabled. Also, Vista cant remember my default selection for mixed content
media. Every time I choose "open folder to display files", it reverts back
to "ask me every time". Why is Vista so forgetfull??? Thanks

Need to create "Documents and Settings" folder on C drive by
MT
I need to create the "Document and Settings" folder on C drive in Vista.
When I try to do this is says it will move it to C:\users and does not let me
create it under "C:\".
I need this folder on C drive in order to open a project file in Power
Producer (video editing software) that I created on a PC using Windows XP.
Once I can create the Documents and Settings folder, then I can create...

"The Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" by
davstrife
As the title says, that is the message that I get every single time I
try to uninstall pretty much anything. I am running Vista Premium which
came with the laptop I was bought for christmas a few years ago. I am
the only user on the computer and that means I am the administrator and
I did no such thing. Can anyone suggest anything to help? Such as
altering the policies or...

How can I stop VISTA from messing up my folders? by
Simon[_2_]
Hi,
Every so often, VISTA changes the look of my folder.
For example, My 'root folder', (c:), currently only has one column, 'Name',
and nothing else.
I also have a number of folder that randomly became what looks like image
folders, "Name, Date Taken, Tags, Size, Rating".
This seems to be the most common change made to the folders, but for the
life of me I cannot even start to guess why...

Administrative Tools...gone! by
Matt Robinson
The admin tools in control panel and in the start menu have disappeared for
some reason. They were there at one point as I remember using them a few
weeks back. Any idea what would have caused them to be deleted, and how to
get them back? Thanks in advance.

Here is my problem. I have a new Vista Biz installation and in the
initial setup phase, I selected UK Eng instead of US Eng . I logged in

Then I joined the machine to the company AD Domain with no problem. I
