I have a Buslink USB 1.0 L13 hard drive. worked fine under XP. Installed Vista and it is no longer recoginised. Downloaded drivers and hung my system, kept rebooting. I would not think having the drivers loaded only would cause BSOD. I would look in the event viewer.
