you never verified the partitions were there as I have done this many times and it works fine. first I use a partitioning software like maxtor cd with the utilities on it, second I format the first partition and install my vista first. third I make certain I am installing xp on the right drive and away I go. it worked didn't it -- Thanks for your Help "boomer" wrote:

I get an error message after an internet connection via a telephone line (after closing the connection). The fax-program (Snappy Fax) says 'Com port in use'. After a restart of Vista the problem is gone. Is there someone with a solution ? Thanks, Gus
