When my computer runs auto back up it is failing. I get a catastrophic
(0x8000FFFF) error message. My recovery d is in red, and showing 602MB free

Walt
I have an Ultra 4 port USB Hub. Vista seems to find a device driver to
install but says it "encountered a problem". Thats as much as I'm told.
Anyone know how I can get Vista to correctly recognize and install a USB
driver for my device?
Thanks

Video/Sound Card Upgrade Method by
Walt
I'm planning to upgrade my Creative Live sound card and ATI Radeon 9600 video
cards with a Creative Soundblaster XF sound card and nVidia GeForce 7600 GS
video card. My assumption is that I should uninstall as best I can the
drivers for the old cards, power down, remove the old cards, install the new
cards, power up and install the new drivers when prompted.
Any warnings I should think about...

Accessing a PnP scanner from a second computer by
Wally3178
Hi,
I have a home network and one of the computers has a scanner attached. I
can't find a way to access this scanner from my other computers. Is there a
way to 'see' and use this scanner from the other computers, especially my
system admin machine?
I am using XP with full updates.
Thanks in advance,

Ram leak by
Waldosr
I recently noticed that with my computer sitting idle that after a couple of
days it was using 53% of my ram(4 GB). When I reset my computer the RAM
usage went back to about 25% where it normally is. Has anyone else had this
problem?

Vista Ultimate 64 bit and DVD drivers by
wakesurf
I am on my 2nd DVD burner that Vista says it can't recognize because it
doesn't have the drivers and this one was billed as being Vista compliant.
It is a Sony DRU-190A. Windows sees the device but says it isn't functioning
properly because the drivers aren't loaded properly. When I try to update
the drivers it tells me the most updated drivers are installed. I've tried
to find updated...

in school, but after I had finished, and had removed the projector, I noticed
my screen resolution was all wonky. The screen size was much too large for my
monitor, and I had to drag my mouse down the screen to find the Start bar. I
managed to change the resolution somewhat back to normal under
properties/settings...

speaker trouble by

Recently installed Vista Ultimate on my Dell desktop. The speakers stopped
being recognized. When clicking on the sound icon, it states that 'no aduio
output device is installed.' When looking on the control panel and trying to
update a driver for the speakers, it states that the most up-to-date driver
is already installed. However, when you look for one, there is no driver
installed. ...
