Has I waited for my computer to show all my programs on the screen a message came up saying that SUPBackGround.exe is not responding and will be shut down. I would appreciate it if someone could explain to me what it is because I have done a search in my computer and I can note find this problem and I have looked in the help section and support program and I still don't know what it is.

If my videocard's drivers are WHQL,what it meant-DirectX,DXVA,DirectShow,Open GL,GDI etc. are WHQL,or some of them? If some of them,how can I find out which drivers are DXVA WHQL serticified?

hello chumps there seems to be a problem.. obviously it seems that my laptop unable to read any cd-r, when i open Nero for example, it can't detect my dvd/cd burner drive. i still can run dvd-r and it works fine except for cd-r i tried burning a cd using my friend's laptop, its works and there a stuff in the cd. but when i insert in mine, there's nothing contain in it.

I upgraded from RC1 to RC2. After a successful upgrade, I checked the video drivers. RC2 had recognized my Nvidia card correctly and had installed a driver from Nvidia, which I think is newer than 96.33. The new driver was 7.14.10.9677. It, so far, is working fine. I have played HL2 on Steam and there was no problem. Unlike before with RC1 and driver 96.33. Is this a newer driver or not....

I apologize for my ignorance, but I just can't find an answer. I notice that the SATA DVD Burners, such as Sony and Samsung, do not have an audio output. Does this mean that it is not required to connect the audio output to your sound card if the drive is SATA? Thanks for any information.

Whenever I insert a DVD disc in the drive, Windows Media Center opens. I have set AutoPlay to open with Windows Media Player, but Media Center opens every time. Is there a way to make Windows Media Center the default player for DVDs? Thanks for any help.

I installed Vista today and my headphones didnt work... and a game wouldnt load... so i reinstalled the game and watched a movie while i waited for my friend to come over and help me out. We spent about 2.5 hours trying to figure out what was wrong with the headset, the game problem was resolved however. We tried a different headset that we knew worked and it had no sound coming through.

Oh, I just love new operating systems and feeling like a nube all over again. My system has 1 CD burner and 1 DVD burner. Although I can use the "send to" or drag-and-drop methods for burning DVD's I'd like to be able to change the little Burn icon on the menu bar in Vista Foldier View. I have an internal Seagate SATA drive that has a good read speed and a terrible write speed. If I write small files to the drive, Windows reports that the transfer rate is less than 1MB/sec. My sound is lost after installing skype and skype phone (DUALPhone). I don't have a external speaker as I have been using the speaking on the monitor which has been working fine.
