I have 2 laptops (diff brands) both running Vista Home Premium All of the sudden the Optical Drive starts to dissapear (and sometimes returns) It is seen in the Bios But in Explorer (and device manager) it just vanishes.. Whenever I insert my Sims2 disk into my computer's E drive a message comes up that says "Please ensure the disc is in the drive, select OK and restart the application." Hi- I have a Dell Latitude D630 With the Intel 965 graphics chipset. At work, I dock my notebook and use the notebook LCD as the primary display and another monitor (Acer LCD) as the secondary display using extended desktop. When I lock Vista (manually via 'Windows key + L' or automagically ) and then return and unlock the system i get my weird problem.

i have a creative sound blaster 5.1...i removed d windows xp that i earlier had n installed a fresh copy of windows vista......d drivers that i gt in d CD with the sound card worked very well with xp....i tried 2 install d drivers from d cd that i got.....d setup said that d drivers are not made for this version of windows...but i tried to install d drivers using the compatibility wizard...
