do I have it right? by
unomas
my stepdaughter's laptop's hd crashed (unusable), she of course lost the
system disc. I have my laptop and system disc, both laptops are gateway
but different models 6752 and 6836.
I have a new hd on order, and I will install vista with my disc and her
windows product key (her laptop) I shouldn't have any problem with that
right?
thanks

Very slow reboot after printer barf. by

A Vista Business 64-bit was booting fine until an Epson printer decided
that the ink was low, put a two page document into the queue, and never
operated properly since. We first deleted the printer object,
connected to another printer on another workstation, and were able to
print. But that failed on the second attempt to print, so we waited

XP Upgrade by
Ed Pyle
I am trying to upgrade XP to Vista. After the information gathering process
finishes I get a message to the effect that "upgrade installation disabled -
cannot determine if another operating system is present - fix boot record and
run again". I do not have another operating system installed. Anyone know
what is going on here and how I should proceed? Thanks.

Upgrade to Vista Business from Vista Home Basic by
cacruiser
I have a new Toshiba laptop with Vista Home Basic pre-installed. I want to
upgrade to Vista Business. The system easily meets the min specs. Will I
have to track down drivers for this change or should Business have enough
included? I understand that at the least I will have to do a Clean Install.
Has anyone done this type of change?

Hi.
On a number of identical computers, I've attempted to create a dual

I've used an acronis backup of vista on a separate partition in order
to use it in combination
with a windows 7 upgrade over the original vista version, to create a
dual boot system (using easybcd 2 and easeus partition master).
So for instance, the disk is 300 gb, I've divided it into 3
partitions, 100 gb...

I got a virus which I was successfully able to remove from my system but

I get the following error:

Clicking yes just takes me to their website where there isn't a version

From what I've found there isn't a way to reinstall WMP for Vista. Is
