Imaging Vista by

I am trying to image an HP tablet with Vista Enterprise. Ultimately I will
be (hopefully) using Symantec Ghost Solutions Suit 2 to multicast this image
to multiple Tablets. I installed Vista Enterprise and all other relevant
software on the tablet. So my question is how do I reconstruct the xp
sysprep.inf file along with copying the profile to the default user. I have
been testing a...

Will Vista reinstall wipe out application programs? by
Jim E
I have a 6 month old system with Vista. I did not receive a copy of Vista on
a disk. A copy of all the original SW is located in a hidden partition. I
want to reinstall Vista from the partition and I know how to do that. My
question is will the reinstall of Vista wipe out the applications and files
that I have added?

What happened to my cd-rom driver and why is it disabled? by
Hollis Paul
I have been using the Sony DVD drive for quite some time now, but when
I went to install a new program from a CD, the drive did not respond,
and it doesn't show in the list of drives. When I go into the device
manager, the device is shown with a little yellow spot, and the message
box says the driver service is disabled. What driver service is this,
and how do I enable it?
I looked at the...

"Upgrading" 64bit Vista to 32bit Vista... by
Howard Woodard
I built a 64 bit Vista Ultimate system. Unfortunately, some of the 32 bit
video editing programs that I use do not run reliably under the 64 bit OS.
My retail package is for Vista Ultimate sp1 and contains two DVDs, one for
32 bit installations and one for 64 bit installations.
My question is: Can I use the 32 bit DVD and perform an "upgrade" to the
current 64 bit installation rather than...

PC boots to black screen. How to reinstall Vista ("upgrade", not "clean" install) by
Marvin Hlavac
Hello. Could someone please help:
I think what caused my problem was a power interruption during installation
of Windows update during shut down.
* PC boots into a black screen (I see mouse pointer on a black background,
but nothing else)
* Restoring to previous state doesn't help
* I booted with Vista DVD, but the "repair start-up" is not detecting any
problem

Harddisk disabled for XP installation after Vista by
jafri
I installed Vista Ultimate 32 on my HP COMPAQ 300C recently. However, as
I was not at home with Vista even after using the same for sometime, I
formatted the C: Drive with third party software and tried to install XP
Pro on my notebook, it just wouldn't see the harddrive and asks to exit
setup. I have repeated this several times but without any success. The
Interesting thing is that after each...

Lost Disc and Key by
Richard
Hi,
I've lost my disc and key but urgently needed a reinstall of windows. I
wrote down the product ID which I thought would help me, and installed vista
(premium) from another disc. However, I have no key and so I now have no way
of activating it even though I possess a valid product ID.
Is there anything I can do or have I just got to spend money on another copy
of Vista?

changes to the font are NOT reflected in the DOS window while the program is
