Media Center TV broken record by
I have Pre-RC1 Build 5536 and I have a lot of trouble with Media Center sounding/looking like a broken record. I just upgraded to 2 GB RAM and it seems to help, but it still occurs after an extended pause. Any ideas?

RC1 and SoundMax -- funky audio problems by
"clean" install (let old WinXP2 go to Windows.old, no dual boot) on a "white box" which had WinXP previously (overall performance evaluation of the system is a pedestrian 2.5) -- used to have audio, no problem -- now generally, no audio -- very funky -- Device Manager reports no problems or conflicts (SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio) -- but don't get sound, for the most part -- sometimes...

Photo Gallery - No Picture displayed by
Hi, When I double-click a picture in Photo Gallery it changes as though it's going to show the large picture, but all I get is a blank screen, the Vista hourglass and sometimes a message saying the picture can't be displayed. If I start a slideshow or choose to open in paint, it's fine. Pictures work in Media Center as well. 30GB spare on all drives a 1.5GB of memory, so the error message...

Photo Gallery Feature Requests by
Don't know if Microsoft watch this group at all, but here goes: 1) Allow dragging tag to picture as well as picture(s) to tag 2) "Thumbnails with tags" view needed 3) Deleting a tag should NOT remove it from all pictures. Sometimes you just want to tag some pictures for an Event, e.g. Concert May 2006, and then delete the tag because you'd never assign it again 4) Proper grouping of tags, e.g....

Slideshow duration match music length in WMM by *mstenzel
In Windows DVD Maker, I can make the length of the slideshow automatically match the length of my music track. Can this be done in Movie Maker? I've tried to tweak this in the past, but have been so frustrated trying to calculate the length of the durations to match the audio. And, am I correct in my understanding that you can only change the default picture duration from the...

Change the default menu image in DVD Maker? by *mstenzel
Windows DVD Maker should work fine for a small project I have. However, I don't like the fact that it picks an image from the middle of my slideshow to use as the menu image. I also don't want any animation in the menu, just a static picture of my first photo. Any ideas?

ALERT! Windows Vista Home Premium refuses to format my discs. Whenever I try to format a disc by inserting a CD-R and clicking on that CD-R icon, the computer begins formatting the disc, but near the end comes a warning: "Windows cannot format the disc." No further information is offered and I have no other choice but to hit a Cancel button. Additionally, when burning music to my CD...
