Problem downloading pictures from camera by

My husband downloaded vacation pictures from our Canon PowerShot A95 camera
using the direct download feature w/ USB port as normal. However, he renamed
the folder "Florida" and it changed each photos JPG chronological number to
all read "Floriida" withoug unique numbers. As a result, he decided to
delete the pictures from the computer and download them from the camera
again. He was not...

Thumbnails in Vista x64 by

I just bought a new computer with Vista x64 pre-installed.
Windows Explorer displays proper thumbnails for .wmv and .mpg videos files;
however, only a generic thumbnail is displayed for all .AVI files.
I installed the CCCP codec pack, but it did not solve the problem.
I went to the Divx web site, and it says that their download is for x86
only.

Importing pictures, access denied by

Everytime I try to import pictures lately I get an error message saying
"access denied" when I hit the import button. Any ideas on why this is
happening? It's my computer, I am pretty sure I haven't changed any
settings and this is only happening recently.

When I insert a CD in the Rip Tab, nothing happens. I can play music
from the CD on the Media Player and the CD name appears in the Rip Tab,
but it dosen't rip. No album/artist info appears and when I right click
on it to open it nothing happens either. All the screen says is to
insert a CD, which I already have done. Please help!

Slideshow toolbar button doesn't work by

Vista Ultimate. When I'm in my pictures folder in windows explorer, or any
other folder with pictures, clicking the slideshow button on my toolbar
doesn't do anything apart from making the screen flicker. This occurs
whether I've selected any pictures or not. Slideshows work from Windows
Media Player.
Any ideas?

this is both a question and an answer since someone on another forum solved
it for me after a year of frustration but I am wondering if it is a vista
problem or a wireless broadband glitch and if microsoft could fix it in
future verions.
when I use windows DVD maker my burner is absent that is drive E does not
appear in the choose burner box, that is until I unplug my wireless broadband...
