when I play a music file, any music file, be it from a cd or mp3 file, media player crashed looks online for a solution then quits. restarting the computer seems to have no effect......any suggestions? -- athguy

I bought a brand new HD dvd camcorder i cant play or copy create or upload the AVCHD video and i thought it was the software that came with the camera because my new PC is a 64x Bit and some software is uncompatable but i think AVCHD may be a blueray type of format either way i should be able to load it directly from my camcorder it says but i can't.i do finalize them .

Saying Vista is lame and stupid doesn't do it justice. Try this. Move a large video file, about 1GB. Vista will start to try, show the progress bar, then say need permission, suggesting it failed to move it. Clicking on it trying to enable permission is useless and has no effect. The catch is I have UAC OFF, so I shouldn't even see this screen. Worse it shows as moved to the new folder which is...

*okay i have used windows movie maker before and it has worked great. i got a new video camera. Has ANYONE on this newsgroup experienced WMP problems with commercial DVDs playing choppy, blocky video? Sound is OK. This is strange because all 3 of my Windows XP and Vista computers are the same. I had problems with my registry so I bought an adapter for my harddrive to convert it to usb. I got everything setup and found the files, but the problem i have now is gaining access.
