#2 Automatically connect to wireless on bootup by
Norm75
To Barb, I followed your advice and here is the new thread with my problem of
automatically connecting wireless on boot-up. As I mentioned in the previous
thread, I borrowed another notebook which happened to have XP. It booted up
and found the wireless connection right off and worked beautifully. I did it
a couple of times and each time with success.
You asked for the results of the...

#@&* Icons Keep Rearranging by
J Bernard
Even though I have desktop VIEW "auto-arrange icons" UNCHECKED, it happens
every time I log off or shutdown. Happens in both ADMIN and std user
accounts, and it seems to have begun after I installed my Palm Treo software.
Several other folks seem to report a similar bug & I still don't see a fix.

"...is not accessible. Network path not found" Also can't print. by
Jon Riley
I'm trying to connect a W2K PC with a Vista one, mainly to print documents.
In the "Computers near me" window on the W2K PC, the Vista PC is shown, but
I get the message: "...is not accessible. Network path not found".
I have a printer connected to the Vista PC. I can see this from the W2K PC,
and can adjust its properties, etc., but I can't print. The message is:

"Append these dns suffixes (in order):" grayed out by
Indy Camargo
Windows Vista Home Premium
I'm setting up a VPN connection to work but I can't enter the necessary DNS
suffixes.
When I click on the TCP/IP Properties Advanced DNS, the middle part of
the screen has the "Append primary and connection specific DNS suffixes"
selected but grayed out.
It also has the "Append parent suffixes of the primary DNS suffix: checked
and grayed out.
The other radio...

connect to my router via ethernet, I have a host of problems.

"Connect automatically" checkmark disappears from "Dial-up Connect by
Dima
Hello!
How to make a "Connect automatically" check mark stay in a "Dial-up
Connection" window? The "Connect to:" field is "ADSL".
The check mark disappears after a hibernation or restart. I have to check
the "Connect automatically" and click "Connect" every time after a
hibernation or restart to resume the internet connection.
Regards
Dima

"connect to" window very slow to open by
Jason Ritchie
It is a pain to create new VPN connections or open existing connections
because of the long delay (30-60 seconds) for the Connect To applet to load.
Any ideas on what to do about it?
