Loosing Internet Connectivity by
Dustin Brown
Vista Home Premium keeps dropping my internet connection. It happens every
day and it happens two or three times a day. Before I bought Vista I was
running XP SP2 on this machine and I never had problems with it. I have two
other computers on my network. One runs XP and the other is a Mac. Neither of
them have internet connectivity issues - only my Vista machine, and only
since I started...

HP All-in-one printers disappearing when there are changes in the network status by
mlai
Hi,
Just wondering if anybody has seen this problem. HP claims that they
have not seen this problem (despite I have reported it before...)
I have a Photosmart C6180 installed on my network. Under XP, everything
seems to work fine. However, on my Vista x64 machines, the printer and fax
seems to disappear when there are changes in the network status (for
example, resuming from suspend,...

My VB6 program is installed by setup created in InstallShield 12.
Before Vista everything was working fine.
On Vista one of the operations (replace file located in c:\program files\my

error 70, 'Access denied'
After I set manually Full Control to Users of that machine everything works
fine.
Any advice how to set Full...

Network icon says not connected but I am by
spandxtria
I have a fairly new dell laptop inspiron 1720 with wireless internet
connection. A couple of days ago I noticed the little network icon on
the bottom right of the task bar had a strange little blue blob on it.
If I hold the mouse over it, it says 'you are currently not connected to
any networks'. If I right click and then click 'connect to a network',
that box shows that I am indeed connected...

Vista incorrectly sees "Multiple Networks" & can't connect to Inte by
kchloevt
I have a wired router connected to a combination wired/wireless switch (both
are LinkSys and pretty old). The PC in question has a wired connection to the
switch. In the Network and Sharing Center, Vista sees two Networks: Network
(private) and Unidentified Network (public), but both have the same IP
information. Both also say local and internet access, but I cannot connect to
the Internet....

I have an XP Pro machine with a folder shared with full control for
everyone. All other machines, regardless of Windows version, have no
problem accessing this share with full control. I've installed Vista
Ultimate RTM on two machines and have had the following problem on both:
Both Vista machines can read/write/execute files that are in that
network share. For example, if its a .pdf, .txt,...

Cannot see workgroup computers by
wrtbd
With WinVista RC1 Build 5600 installed, I cannot see any of the PCs in my
workgroup (all WinXP or Win2K). Within Vista, I have changed the name of the
workgroup to reflect the workgroup name. I have enabled discovery. I have
the network identified as a private network. I can ping all of the PCs on
the network, but Vista will not recognize them. I can get to the 'net (of
course). Within...

I have an HP desktop with Vista connected to the internet via a cable modem.
When turning the computer on, there is an internet connection. After a few
minutes the internet connection is lost and the only way to regain the
connection is to reboot and then it will work for a few more minutes - then
reboot is needed and this cycle continues.... The ISP insists that I am

Limited connectivity for my Internet connection –Sleep mode. by

Actually my Internet connection works great… at least for as long as I boot
my computer fresh. For as long as I’m doing that I have no problems. No
disconnections, no freezes, nothing. Zero problems. But, my Internet
connection gives me a warning saying that I have “Limited connectivity”
whenever I wake up the computer from the sleep mode. After that, I have no
Internet access....

Vista Sleep, Hibernation Internet Connection Lost by
Frederick Smith
Hi Robert, Barb,
I went back to the factory, HP style. I used my recovery DVD to restore the
laptop to factory default image. I then installed only the Windows updates
recommended, no driver updates.
I have the same issue as in my previous post. If my internet connection is
restored after Sleep or Hibernation, it is lost after about a minute or so.
Power cycling the router seems to reconnect,...
