VPN Connection in tray icon? by
Paul Pichette
I have a VPN connection I use regularily. To connect to it, I have to
right click on the network tray icon, then click connect / disconnect,
find the VPN connection in the list, then click connect.
Is there a way to have the VPN connection always available directly in
the right click off the tray icon?

Does ICS in Vista support multiple internal interfaces, or I had to
bridge them together, like in WinXP?

Limited connectivity for my Internet connection –Sleep mode. by
User22
Actually my Internet connection works great… at least for as long as I boot
my computer fresh. For as long as I’m doing that I have no problems. No
disconnections, no freezes, nothing. Zero problems. But, my Internet
connection gives me a warning saying that I have “Limited connectivity”
whenever I wake up the computer from the sleep mode. After that, I have no
Internet access....

Local Only, no previous problems, no other computers on network having problems by
mican
My laptop is connected to a NetGear router, and has been for over a year
with no problems. I went on vacation and used another network for a week
and when I came back I can no longer connect to the internet with my
home network. I am connected to the network, but it says 'Local Only'.
If I disconnect and reconnect again, it will tell me I have an internet
connection, but as soon as I try to...

IE8 Favorites - Vista x64 SP2 by
churin
I imported bookmarks of Firefox into Favorites of IE8 but nothing is
displayed on the sidebar for Favorites.
Before importing I deleted everything on the sidebar. Is this the cause
of the problem? If so how can I undo what I did?

Sharing printer over NETBEUI by
Ian[_12_]
I have a printer locally connected to a machine running Vista Home
Basic, and want to share the printer across the LAN via NETBEUI to a
number of machines running XP.
NETBEUI setup appeared straightforward -- I used the .inf and .sys files
that came with one of the XP systems, and configuring it was essentially
the same as in XP. I made sure the Vista Netgroup was the same as the XP...

Sorry if this is a FAQ but I did some searching and didn't find articles
describing my problem. I have a couple of Vista Desktops and 3 XP

of the shares from any of the systems but the system that has the 1.5TB
drive that I want to access most often from the other systems is a Vista

Vista 64 Remote Desktop to Server 2003 Newbie Question by
mtech[_2_]
Hi There
Sorry Newbie question.
I have a friends business with a Server 2003 System that is controlled
via remote desktop from my Vista 64 PC in my office. I have fixed one or
two registry problems and need to reboot. If I reboot the Server
remotely will I be able to get back in? I can get someone to go in
first thing and restart if it isn't possible remotely I suppose if it
doesn't work.

Sharing Vista Folders by
jaygreg
I attempted to share the "Documents" folder on my new Vista machine but am
apparently doing something wrong. When I check the folders shared, it's
listed. But when I check "My Network Places" on the Windows XP" machine on
my LAN, all I see is "Users on Xps435mt" (the name of the computer is
"Xps435mt"). I've created a target folder under "Documents" into which I
want to place a backup copy...

Log-on time by
Andre De Clercq[_2_]
I have 3 computers on a network (2xVista,1xXP) with a large number of shared
folders and subfolders. I noticed when I boot (especially) the XP PC while
the two other PC's are off, that the time it takes to finally getting logged
on (icon in notification area) is significantly shorter than when the
Vista's are operating. Is this normal?..Something wrong with the XP network
driver? Thanks for...
