Additional Logon Information Required? by
Upton Sinclair
I am having difficulty connecting to the wireless network that my apartment
building provides. I just purchased a new computer with Windows Vista. On my
old computer, which had Windows XP, I had no problems. All XP required of me
was to enter the password that my landlord provided to me in order to access
the secured wireless network. However, now that I have Vista, I try to
connect and it...

Getting a remote user to join domain by
Kearsarge
I have a remote user that at the time I built his Vista 32 Business
laptop did not need to part of the domain as he was rarely if ever going
to be on our local LAN. Everything was installed with the laptop being
in a workgroup instead of domain.
Now we are using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 which from what I can tell
requires machines to be part of the domain.
We have a Cisco ASA 5510 which we...

Sharing & Discovery by
csparks60
The Sharing and Discovery section in the Network & Sharing Center is
missing.
Page is blank under the section showing computer and Internet; unable
to connect to any networks, including the Internet.
Could this be from a virus or spyware. Is there a setting in the
registry that got turned off? Need help resolving this issue.
Thank you in advance!!!

communication not available by
bob s
I've set up a printer on my xp wired machine and shared it out to my vista
laptop.
I was able to get it to connect and print fine. But after i logged out and
then back in the printer will not work.
I get the following message "Communication Not Available"
the Printer cannot communicate with the computer
I think it might have to do with the xp share requiring a password

Security for Shares btn WinXPH and VistaHP by
DHK
I would appreciate help with fixing a sharing problem between a Windows XP
(Home) PC and a Windows Vista (Home Premium) PC.
The desired scenario is to create a share on the Vista PC that gives full
rights to another user on the WinXP PC. FYI, the LAN has no server. It is
strictly a peer network. There are several peers with their own shared
folders in the office. Most, but not all shares,...
