I just got the VISTA and new computer; I can't get the screen saver to come on. I've gone into the 'personalization setting' and applied the minutes and shut down for the screen saver and auto shut down and nothing happens. My home page remains on. Any suggestions? Please tell me that it's something 'simple' to change!

I have several failed updated in my Windows Update History. Is there a way I can try to install these again? When 'check for updates' is run they do not show as needing to update. However, the history page shows many of them as Important. Hope to hear, Kimberly

This problem is carried over from XP where the views of folders and files within Explorer are not kept correctly. When I look at the Windows folder it shows "Artist Album Genre" etc. as if it were a music folder. Most folders can be modified by going to properties then customize and changing the setting. Windows and some others do not have that option!! I can't figure out how that got this way...

While doing a stability check, i discovered that my SQLWRITER was not functioning. The system said to restart the service.
