TrustedInstaller.exe - very badly written VISTA process by
jamez
Does anyone know if this problem has been reported to Microsoft yet?
It's a VISTA process that deals with microsoft updates. If your PC is
running slow, press CTRL+ALT+DEL, launch Task Manager and check the CPU usage
of this process. Ridiculous.
It absolutely kills my PC, mouse clicks take 10 seconds to respond,
processor maxed out, hard disk going like crazy. ALWAYS happens just after...

page fault in non paged area - after 15-60 minutes, new behavior by
Greg[_6_]
I've been running Vista Business on a Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop (2GB ram,
dual-core) for about 6 months without significant problems.
Then, starting yesterday afternoon, I began getting "page fault in non
paged area" blue screens, about 15-60 minutes after a cold boot or
restart. The timing is not very consistent, but it is consistently
happening.
Any clue what could be happening? One thing...

Sidebar error by
Bec
I recently had to replace my hard drive in my Lenovo 3000 C200 laptop which
is running Windows Vista Home Basic. I did a full back up of my system using
ThinkVantage rescue and Recovery and restored it on the new hard drive. Only
problem is, for some reason my sidebar now refuses to work, I keep getting
the 'Windows Sidebar has stopped working' message.
I haven't installed any new programs...

Reloading System by
qiang
My Windows Vista on a Gateway gt5404 seems to have a virus that is causing
multiple problems. A friend told me that in my case, i should probably save
all my files and reinstall the entire operating system. I am feeling this is
a bit risky, so does anyone have any tips for making this smooth?

Screen Saver Problems by
bluecrystal99
My screen saver will not work. After reading through some questions and
responses I have figured out that it is my wireless mouse causing the
problem. To confirm I unplugged the mouse and my screen saver worked. I have
windows vista and I installed and update.
Is there anything else I can do to correct this problem?

Options for disk defragmenter by
Chuck Braman
Disk defragmenter seems to only show options for *when* to defragment. How
can I access options of *which* disks I can choose to defragment, and see
information as to how fragmented they are initially, so as to determine
whether I want to defragment them in the first place?

Spinning Hat software by
Julie
Listed in my problem reports and solutions, are two names. One is Spinning
Hat software and abcPager, that are apparently the source of a problem of
which I am not familiar with. Not only do I not know the the problem itself,
but Spinning Hat software and abcPager are alien to me. I have done a search
for these two names with zero results. Any and all help will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
