In searching for tmp files i have one large one, nvcbin.def6B48292D.TMP in my C windows files, 59,000 kb Why will it not delete this? do i need it?

I have an new computer - with Vista -and it constantly freezes. There is nothing that I can do other than switch it off which is really bad for it. Also - if it goes to sleep - nothing wakes it up - so again I have to switch it off first. Any help?

My hard drive is saying in only have 20 gb of free space when my hard drive has 144gb total space and my computer is pretty new. Hi, I'm going to buy an external HDD for my computers backed up files, however I'm wondering about size... I currently have used 160 GB of 300 GB on my HDD, does this mean I have to buy a 160 GB external HDD to put my backed up files on?
