hinmange
Four dumps in two days. Not cool. Here are the minidump files. Can
someone please read the tea leaves and point me in a direction to
troubleshoot.
All was well until this last batch of windows updates came down.
Thanks

Backup reports disk full in error in vista ultimate by
bobgay
I have backed up my C drive as an image twice before. This time after
installing SP1 when i tried to backup my entire drive it reported an error of
insuficient disk space. Well i thought it would delete the eariest file but i
went ahead and formatted the external HD. Same error. Renamed it, Same error.
Changed drive letter, Guess what, yep same error. Is this a SP1 problem or
just a backup...

Louis
I found that my vista's disk size has boost up by 10GB within a few days. I
checked every dirctory in my computer and I found that this directory:
c:/windows/system32/data/{my IP}/web directory has grow up by 10.5GB. I
tried to delete them up and clean up the recycle bin, but they come back
again the other day. What can I do?

Hello,
Could anyone please tell me what I can try to speed up my computer when I
start it up or close it down?
It will take 4-5 minutes to do both.
After that the speed is just fine.

Microphone stopped working after "don't ask me again" by
Jonas
One guy wrote this:
" The first couple of times I inserted
the microphone into the jack there was a Vista pop-up giving 4 options the
first of which was "Microphone". Worked perfectly the first time.
During the second time, I clicked on the check box which said "Don't ask me
this again." and then clicked on the microphone option thinking that Vista
will remember that when this device is plugged...

ReadyBoost? by
Ronnie[_3_]
I've installed a couple of flash drives that are supposed to support
ReadyBoost in Vista on a couple of my Vista computers, however I'm not
seeing much on an increase in speed. I've looked at the Task Manager, but
I'm not seeing any type of memory size increase either. How does this work?
Would it be better to install more ram rather than this setup?

Strange characters appear in DOS window using PING command by
Darth_Lager
Hi
I have suffered some sort of system failure on my XPpro machine - the blue
screen of death! It would get to the login screen, go blue then reboot. I
first removed and swapped memory and video cards etc, to no avail. I then
tried a disk check from safe mode with both options ticked, reboot and let it
go. Still same problem when starting normally. I have a RAID 0 (mirror only)
and had to...

titus12
What is going on with Vista 64bit drivers? I am still hearing that thare is
too few drivers. Vista64 is what I want. Does Microsoft have a program
that will test your system to see if the software and hardware can work with
Vista64?
Thank you;

I have been moving all my old programs to a new Vista machine
including one from back during Win95 that failed to install correctly.
I tried a couple of things and somehow got it installed twice while
using comparability mode.
It wasn't working properly so I uninstalled it. Actually I uninstalled
one of the 2...
