Vista Home Premium: after a reboot, a "copy" of the printer shows up as the on-line printer. this is annoying as this printer is part of a network and then the new copy has to be reinstalled to the network computers to be able to work. Or, a solution is I must put old printer on-line manually to make it ready and delete the copy from the reboot.

I am trying to download an update that removes the "Driver has stopped working and Recovered" error but when I try to run the update (I have a Compaq T2080 Notebook with Windows Vista Home Premium) it says that it doesn't apply to my system. I have a bad backup set. When creating, I got an I/O error. How do I force a fresh, brand new backup? It only wants to do an Incremental backup to my already bad disks. I don't have even one good backup yet. Any help much appreciated.

Hi, A while ago, the Aero features stopped working on my laptop computer. I recently traced the problem to the fact that the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service (UxSms) was not running. i have windows vista & i have a problem. every night, my computer restarts itself (for some reason), and every morning i need to use system restore in order to connect to the internet. at about 3 am, the computer automatically undoes the system restore from earlier that day, and the cycle starts all over again. is there any way to prevent the computer from undoing the system restore?

For the last 5 or 6 days ,I have had to restore my computer to an earlier point to be able to access the internet. I get a cannot find server that comes up then I click on my fire fox icon on my desk top to access my cox.net and it gives the can't find server.
