have to do it manually whenever I remind myself of it. I have the feature

Vista 32 bit OS - lsass.exe file missing by
mailandrewsam@gmail.com
Hi All
I've got Vista 32 bit Home premium edition installed on my laptop and
things were ok until now. Now all of a sudden, it shows that the
lsass.exe file is missing and the desktop is not appearing upon
restart. The user login is successful, but the error shows up and the
desktop is not showing up. I've tried searching around the Vista CD to
no avail. Kindly let me know of any solutions that...

Vista resize Read Chunks in SP1 from 4K to 32K ? by
Or Tsemah
Just wanted to know if in SP1 updated the IO size access of Vista file
storage system.
As we know, in SP0, the access to Hiberfil.sys was done in Random
transactions of 4k (4096bytes) IO size.
Moreover, more than 50% of Windows Vista transactions were in 4Kbytes (see
graph).
Did MSFT changed this policy in SP1?
Rumors say that MSFT changed in SP1 the IO size to 32K or 64K.
If the rumors are...

Vista won't keep restore points by
Carl G
Hi Guys
I have Vista Home Premium. I have noticed a while ago that vista will not
keep any restore points.
I can look now and it has only one point from system check.
If I install anything it will make a restore point. If I uninstall it will
make the restore point.
When I look a couple days later they are all gone.
This has been going on for months now. What would the problem apear to be...

Flaky Window Experience Index Aero Test by
Eck
From the installation OOBE to running the Aero test as part of the Windows
Experience Index test, I have needed to go through hoops to get the system to
not freeze, forcing a box reset to get things going again.
Searching here, I applied one of the suggestions, that being renaming the
DATASTORE folder to DATASTORE.old and the test ran and gave me a score and
the use of Aero.
Today I updated...

12% more Ram by
Dan
Not all is bad. I display the sidebar Multi Meter gadget that displays both
of my CPU usages (2) and the RAM in real time. I can see instantly what
program hogs push and tangle my system to its limits thus learning how to
avoid App crashes and the like with this new OS. It is one of my best
defenses. I have discovered that of course the ram fills with use and
eventually reflects on...

CDF-MS files stuck in C:\Windows\winsxs\Temp\Pending Renames by
TM
Hi - I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.
I have a group of six CDF-MS files stuck in C:\Windows\winsxs\Temp
\Pending Renames. Can anyone advise as to how I can get rid of them?
I don't seem to be able to change permissions to be able to get at
them. I've tried deleting them in Safe Mode, even tried turning off
the UAC, but nothing works.
If it helps, these are the files in...
