I downloaded the Windows XP Creativity Fun Pack (for Windows Movie Maker),
but I keep getting this message when I try to install it: "Windows XP

Vista by

Hey Microsoft -- You are so powerful why not help out the little guy who has
been screwed by Vista. Give us our money back that we had to pay for
something that does not work will or fix it!!!!!! My old computers run way
faster then this new one. I was forced to buy a new computer and had to take
Vista. Not fair that I don't have a choice of operating systems. My life has
been hell since I...

Windows host process(Rundll32) has stopped working by
Brent
This message keeps popping up. I have restarted my system and even tried a
system restore, which cannot succeed for some reason. I ran a scan with my
Norton virus protection and it came back clean. The message just keeps
popping up over and over again without me doing anything. How the heck can I
stop this?

chipset driver issue or Vista? by
Pamela G
In my last MS Updates, there was an updated driver for my laptop chipset
family (Intel T5500 series). Since installing it and several more Microsoft
specific updates, I have had an odd problem. I suspect the Intel driver, as
I had icon issues before and that was related. Anyway, ideas?
Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A205-S4629. Vista Ultimate, 32 bit, dual Intel
5500T chipset, 1.67 GH, 2+ Gig...

Can't use single click or do a System Restore by
Sandee
I've had my new Dell computer with Vista Home Premium for less than a month.
It seems to me when I first got started I had the option of single clicking
or double clicking to get programs and windows to open. I chose single click.
Now I have to dbl click to get anything to open and when I go into folder
options single click is grayed out so I can't even select it. Why is this?
I thought...

Request for comments about Sleep feature by
Yosemite Sam
Sleep doesn't work on my system, Windows Vista Home Basic. Something in
Vista keeps waking it up, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes longer.
Vista has, in effect, trashed the Sleep feature. You put the computer to
sleep to save power while you're away from the computer -- and then Vista
puts it right back into full power usage, when nobody is there to put it
back to sleep.
If you...

Desktop Background by
confused
A few weeks ago I turned on my computer and found my desktop background was
black. I tried to change it back to the picture I originaly had, but it
wouldn't change. I can only change it to a colour.
My daughter recently installed a sims game, but the graphics are fuzzy. This
never used to happen before, it has only started since my desktop background
went black.
Is there something wrong...

Interactive Logon Process failed. (Windows Vista) by
CJL
I am helping a friend of the family with a 2 month old Dell Inspirion 1505,
running the Vista operating system that was supplied with the new laptop. The
owner has applied updates when available and has had no other problems. I
have cut and pasted the verbiage from another post below, as it describes our
problem, but there were no responses since June, so I was hoping this post
might have a...

I am running vista business, and have been using hibernate for a while now. I
was playing a game on battery, the battery went dead, and now, after resuming
on ac, my computer won't hibernate. The screen goes blank, and the hard drive
light is on steady. I don't hear any hard drive noise though. The computer
will just sit there like that forever. I have disabled all non microsoft
