Laptop Battery Indicator by Paul Calcagno
On my son's Dell laptop (Vista Home Premium, SP2) his battery indicator icon has disappeared off his taskbar. I'm sure there's a way to find it and have it show up in the lower right taskbar location but can't help him find it since my Vista system is a desktop. Can anyone help us locate and re-instate this feature? Thanks............................Paul C.

slow start up/booting vista 64 by sroblesc64
it takes 52 secs for my laptop vista 64 Home Premium to pop the log in screen & 58 after log in to load 8 start up programs. My desktop running on XP Pro does all that in 45-52 secs total. I've defragged hard drive, registry, killed aero, reduced opening window time, readjusted unwanted vista service (SP2- safe) program according to Black Viper and I don't see why I have to wait more than...

Screen randomly scrambles (not at bootup) by darkangelofhell666
Hi, I have an issue that I've been trying to find an issue for, but so far I have not found a thread anywhere on the internet that even addressed my problem precisely. Occasionally, usually after my computer has been running awhile, my screen will randomly scramble up, and parts of it will become inoperable. There are no "black lines" going across the screen, and my screen hasn't...

Vista - firewall affected DSL speed by Richard Fangnail
I just got a new Vista computer and I found that my DSL speed was abnormally slow. I called the ISP and they said to turn off the firewall. This fixed it. I wasn't aware a firewall could affect your modem speed so much. The XP firewall had never done that.

So I'm building something that can be transported in a hard case along with a 17 inch cheap monitor. 1 Linkworld 43706-228FU+P04 Black Steel MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case 430W...
