100% CPU Usage Caused By Adobe Flash Plugin by xwhizx
So i've been dealing with 100% CPU usage for the last 3 weeks. I've narrowed down the cause to the Flash plugin for ANY browser, regardless of IE or Firefox. *Here's the deal:* Anytime Flash is loaded in the browser, the CPU shoot straight up to 100% until you close the browser. I've google'd solutions for this. The only one I've seen is the all FULL CONTROL for the Everyone user on two of the...

bad video card by j lunis
Vista Home Addition HP PC A while back I began getting a BSOD about a nVidia graphics card driver. Finally (kinda) resolved that by going to the nVidia web page and Dling/installing the latest driver. However, two problems persist. minor - I can not use any Direct3D screensaver - keep getting "The screen saver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with...

Bluescreens plus download problems by Chris
I have a couple of problems with Windows Vista Home Premium that have both been getting worse and more frequent: * system freezes / crashes - the error reports suggest a problem with networking hardware, but the drivers seem to be completely up to date. One of the "solutions" did make reference to Vista having problems with older networking hardware, but wasn't clear on how to diagnose...

Keyboard Problems by bookreader
I just recently purchased a new laptop and it seems that my keyboard is having problems (which is becoming a little annoying when trying to write 2000+ page essays). When I am typing sometimes shortcuts will be in use (as though I have hit CTRL or SHIFT). I can be writing the letter T and a new tab in firefox will be created. Is there anyway to fix this? --

Disabling user account by Abi
How do I disable user accounts? When I start Windows Vista (Business edition) at some point a screen appears where I can either click on a picture/user account or log on via fingerprint. How do I disable that function all together. The account is currently set up as Administrator.

DfrgNtfs.exe takes up 100% (core) usage by Ian Boyd[_3_]
Windows Vista is scheduled to run a defrag at 1 AM. i came home this evening to find my machine running very slowly, and Process Explorer's notification area icon showing continuious 50% CPU usage. It was DfrgNtfs.exe, and this hasn't been the first time. It's not doing any I/O. (Process Monitor, Process Explorer and Resouce Monitor show no file or hard drive activity). It's just...

Searchindexer.exe hogs CPU by Wolffoley
We run Vista home premium on a Dell Dimension E521. Last spring our system slowed way down--we didn't know why. We backed everything up and reloaded the system. It worked well for about 2 months. Now the CPU is running consistently at 100%, and we finally discovered that it is Searchindexer.exe. We "end process" three times, and it will turn off each time, but restarts after the first two times....

Blue Screen of Death . by Qrox[_2_]
I'm getting a BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. It happens when I am running a .mp4 file. I'm currently trying out windows 7 and I'm guessing that it is a driver/software related issuse. Anyone know what the problem could be or how to fix it? And I know that my pc has a lot more than the minimum required specs just in case someone thought that was the problem. The error message I got after rebooting...
