Hi everyone, When I delete items a window pops up saying Recycling (however many) item's and stays on the screen for a few seconds, sometimes for minutes at a time. I have increaded the cache for my recycle bin but this does not help. I would imagine this window is on the screen whilst the PC deletes the item. Anyone know a way in which I can stop this happening, I never used to have this...

Hi! I've just gotten a new Vista machine after having XP Pro for a few years. So far, I've had no difficulties and am qvery pleased with perfomance etc., with one exception... In XP, the moment I pulled the plug on my laptop, it would switch power plans to my "battery" one (i.e. darken the screen, change how it shuts down and so forth...) I got the "important" update that refers one to KB911895. I've search with no luck to find anything about KB911895. The only hardware I use with my PC is a Printer, Portable USB Hard Drive, and Optical Mouse. Oh, and a built into the PC a web cam. So how do I know if it really applies to me? or for that matter how can one tell if an update applies to their system................Thanks !

Hello everyone, about two weeks ago I bought a brand new Acer Aspire 5810T with Vista Home x64 on it. Out of the 454gb available on the 500gb HD,147gb has been used. From what I can tell, here's what's taking up the space: - 50gb personal files - 20gb Windows directory - 4gb Pagefile - 3gb between the Program Files directories
