Seeking with WMP in Vista by JV
I'm having some problems seeking to different sections of video files with the progress slider. For certain file types (such as AVI or Flash) I AM NOT able to use the slider to seek to different parts of the video when i open it from the Media Player Library. The slider does not move from the far left, and if i try to move it the file restarts from the beginning. However, when i open the same...

Score unavailable by Dom
When I run the score index, the process goes well all along to the end. But, at the end, I have no score at all. I see all categories (HD, RAM, ...), but in the score index column, it's empty, there is no number at all. Any idea?

Resolution problem by DC
Hello I didn't have any problems on XP , but in Vista after restoring from suspend/hibernation systems is starting in wrong resolution. Oryginal 1680x1050 , after 1600x1024. Worst thing is that I can't chose my resolution. It's not on the list. Driver change didn't help. Same thing on Lenovo drivers (it's laptop) and on drivers from nvidia. I'm waiting for SP1 ;)

Why the hell do thumbnails cache and load so damn slow!!!?!?!?!?!? by SDatl404
I am a video editor. I need to make thumbnails from my movies. So I export movies into jpegs. But when I go to the dir with the 500-1000+ jpegs from the movie, I am greated with a wonderful 5 hour wait. It only loads the ones in VIEW. So when you scroll down you have to wait all over again!!!! Scroll a line weight 20 seconds for the line to load OVER and OVER and OVER. This is ridiculous....

Event Viewer/Operational Events by Sharee31
I am very "computer challenged" and I'm not afraid to say so. However, I just purchased this new laptop and I was very excited about having Vista but it has been nothing but horrible for me. It's so slow that I can do triple the amount of work on my husbands pc than I can on mine in the amount of time that it takes for things to load. I am trying to figure this out myself and I am getting...

lodctr fails in Vista, works in XP by jan
we have a performamce collection DLL, which gets installed via LODCTR and then works fine in WIndows XP. On Vista, LODCTR returns with the message "Error encounterd while updateing text in registry. Status 0" and it does not write the First counter etc values. There is also an event 3002, for which I can not find any information. I tried with and without UAC, no difference/

Disk Cleanup by bjr1976
Hi I firstly would like to point out that I know NOTHING about computers. I have Windows XP and I would like to clean up my C drive via Disk clean up. It came up with various files such as; Temporary Internet files, set up log files, webclient/Publisher Temp files etc etc. If I removed these files would it 'bin' anything that I need to run my laptop on a day to day basis. Or is it safe just...

Photos Screensavers Settings. by Mogu5001
When I first setup up my screensaver I was asked if I wanted to stretch the picture to fill screen. I chose this but I don't like the way it looks. Now I cannot find where to de-select this in the setting. I've looked everywhere. Can someone tell where this is so I can de-select it.
