AMD 64 1.6GHz, hardwared mirrored SATA disks, 512MB memory, advanced performance options set for programs. When copying 200GB files off a shared drive from a win2k system on 100bT link, Vista RC1 is unresponsive. Thoughts?

I have my display to turn off in one hour. When I move the mouse to wake it, a blank screen comes up, showing only the mouse (and i can move it). I cant do anything until my sreen saver comes on, and then I move my mouse to wake the screen saver, and it goes back to normal. Is there a way to stop thanks blank screen, and go back to my desktop when I wake the display? thanks.

I received an error message telling me " the red highlighted components are in a state of error please pay urgebt attention to the configuration " I tried going to start, control panel, add /remove components. Is there any way to have the disk, CPU and Network usage for the Resource Monitor seperated into seperate graphs when more than one of each exists? What Antivirus program is compatible with vista?

Anybody else seen this, when I got to the starmenu under all programs and right click an item, explorer stops working. If I right click a folder all is well. Also if I switch to the classic startmenu all is well. Any ideas? I'm lost with this one..

Hi, Running Vista RC2 (build 5744). When I click a 'folder' in the start menu, it takes a while before it expands. Also, the CPU seems to be used heavily from the moment I click the folder until it expands. I already set "MenuShowDelay" to zero in the registry, but that did not help. Is there any way to speed up things in the start menu?

I've had a slightly aggravating problem with WinMail, lately. When I went to reply to a post, there was a delay/hesitation of a few seconds and the composition window would be all white for a bit. Hi all, My laptop (Fujitsu Siemens Amilo) cannot resume from hibernation. After the first screen with the Windows Vista logo and the text "resuming" it just appears a blank screen with nothing but a cursor. All that helps is then rebooting. The sleep mode works as it should. Any suggestions?
